The guild was founded over 400 years ago by the Grandmaster Nomaroishi. There is little known about the man other than rumors that circulate themselves through local taverns and spill from the mouths of drunks. The scrolls that held the ancient knowledge of the Nomaroishi way of life were destroyed by a great fire set by raiding enemies, the library deep in De Profundis losing valuable tomes and lessons of the Grandmaster. But the Nomaroishi were a strong, proud group of individuals that would not let the loss of a few books stand in the way of their prowess. They grew rapidly in number; the brothers baring the Nomaroishi surname called into service to rebuild the legacy.
Years were spent rebuilding the great hall of De Profundis. The brothers making their home better in all ways: From the magically guarded prison cells that honeycomb the bottom floor, to the high spires guarded by the most skilled of archers. Their monolith came back alive with the fires of new faces eager to work for a common cause. The members are family, loyal and discreet. Their home, once a burned out shell of memories now buzzes with life. The scrolls were rewritten to the best of their knowledge and they continue to accept new kin into the fold, strengthening their resolve until the day comes when the Grandmaster returns.

Nowadays, the Nomaroishi Guild is an organization that caters to the demand for their services. From assassinations and escorts, to the dangerous tasks of theft and espionage, the Nomaroishi will take the contract. They deal in gold, weapons, or favors, keeping a close eye on those that have used their organization. They have specialists in all areas, frequently switching roles and offering apprenticeships so they have overlapping fields of expertise. As of late, they have become more public and have founded a few treaties, peace accords, and alliances with other organizations. After all, one assassin’s guild could not expect to take on all the ‘responsibilities’ of a bustling subculture.
But the Nomaroishi are a diverse group, accepting every classification and race into their family. They have vampires sired by the ancients and quite a few angelic beings that decided to cast in their lot with the organization. It is not difficult to see that the Nomaroishi’s enjoy their lifestyle and bring beings into the guild that can get the job done quickly and without incident.
